I visited Afaryan every summer and the village people remain in my memory. I was happy, because all the children liked me and they played with me.

It was forbidden for us to go outside to the village, because my father was a religious man. If we had gone outside, the men of village would have seen us.

When I was a child, I was always hungry and thirsty. I never had shoes. I accepted all this, because I was a child and I didn't know what I had to do.

Now Afaryan is a ruined place, like an old historical place. When I go over there I just remember my childhood. It was so beautiful. Afaryan is still so beautiful for me.
